I’m bringing back my watercolor greeting cards that first started my humble artistic “career”, all because a friend gifted me a set of watercolor paints and told me to go for it.
The cards that eventually resulted from that watercolor set were sold in a local storefront for years, and slowly I gained other local brick and mortar vendors, too. I had so many good conversations with the people who bought these cards, they told me the stories behind why the painting resonated with them, or the stories of where they were sending them and what for. I never realized it would be such a connection point for me and so many strangers, just these simple cards.
Time and chance and changes in life have a way of taking things from you and putting them on shelves… like when you live outside for a year and half while building, and your entire envelope inventory seals themselves shut (almost like an allegory)… and then your printer breaks.
But now, back on a good foundation and moving forward, I am excited to share them once again, though this time they will be in my online shop rather than a brick and mortar building. I hope The Morgan’s Table will send these “messenger pigeons” (as I call them) far and wide to find new greeting card enthusiasts far beyond the bounds of my little town.
Stay tuned!
